Movement within the site is either VERTICAL or HORIZONTAL:

HORIZONTAL movement is between the main index pages through the top navigation links. These links: HOME, BIO, FURNITURE, ARTIFACTS, WORDS, TENDRILS, CONTACT; are available from every page on the site, and offer quick movement between galleries.

VERTICAL movement is within each of the main index pages, and is recorded as a vertical array in the left margin. At the top of the left margin is always the name of the index page [here "NAVIGATION"]. As navigation continues, the current page is added to the array and highlighted in gray. This tiered structure acts as a trail of virtual "breadcrumbs" allowing you to see where you have been as you delve deeper into any gallery. Click HERE to see how it works.
